Making Room for Generations - Full Demolition & New Two-Story Home

In Hawaiʻi, the idea of ʻohana often means making space for more than just the people living under one roof today. It means creating a home that can grow with the family—welcoming parents, children, grandparents, and the generations still to come.

This Honolulu project begins with a complete transformation: the existing home is demolished to make way for a new two-story residence designed around the needs of a modern Hawaiʻi household. The new build offers an opportunity to rethink the home from the ground up, creating spaces for everyday living, gathering, privacy, and ʻohana.
